Theo van Reijn was born in the Netherlands. His father is a Dutchman who was a vocational church planter in the Netherlands for many years. Theo was exposed to the gospel from infancy and came to Christ in repentance and faith when he was a child. As he grew up observing his parents laboring in ministry, the Lord placed a desire in his heart for full-time Christian service.
However, during his teenage years, his heart became cold toward the Lord. A quiet rebellion against God-given authority controlled his heart. His ambition was to play professional sports, but the Lord used a recurring injury to gently chasten him and redirect his focus.
In his late teens, he yielded not only to living a life for the glory of God, but also to preaching the gospel in response to God’s call. Theo received his ministerial and theological training at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina where he obtained a Master of Divinity in 2007. During his college years he also met his wife Sarah, and they were married in July of 2002.
Some of his hobbies are reading, biking, painting, and working in the yard. |

Sarah van Reijn was born in Richmond, Virginia. She trusted Christ as a young child and still remembers the wonderful feeling of forgiveness that salvation brings. During her high school years, she attended the summer music camps at Bob Jones University. The Lord used the daily preaching to work in her heart a definite, growing submission to the Lord and His will for her life. Later, as a student at Bob Jones University, Sarah received her undergraduate degree in Music Education and her graduate degree in Church Music.
Her hobbies include playing flute and piano, reading, cooking, and spending time with her favorite husband and son! |
